Investor residence (Golden Visa)
Investing in Spain can open the door to residence. We guide you through the routes available and coordinate the legal side of your investment.
What it involves
Investor residence is a permit for foreign nationals who make a significant investment in Spain, for example in companies, funds, bank deposits, government bonds or a business project of general interest. It allows you to live in Spain with your family, and you can apply from the consulate or while already in Spain. The routes available have changed over time, so it is worth reviewing them before you invest.
Is this your case?
- You want to invest in a Spanish company and move here to live.
- You had considered the “golden visa” by buying a home and don't know what alternatives you have now.
- You already have investor residence and need to renew it by showing that you have kept the investment.
- You want your partner and children to get residence with you.
How we help
Before you invest, we review with you which residence route fits your investment and what you will need to prove. We coordinate the necessary documents with your bank, your notary or your adviser, prepare your application and your family's, and take care of the renewals. We can help you in Spanish, Arabic, Tamazight, French and English, at our offices in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Málaga and Barcelona or online, wherever you are in Spain.
If you are going to invest through a company, we help you with company formation; and if you are not going to invest, consider non-lucrative residence.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the “golden visa” for buying a home still exist?
- Buying property no longer allows you to apply for this residence in new applications. Other forms of investment can still give access to it. We review which options are open in your case.
- Can I bring my family with investor residence?
- Generally, yes: your spouse or partner and your children can come with you. We prepare the whole family's applications at the same time so that you can travel together.
- Can I run my own company in Spain with this residence?
- In many cases investor residence allows you to work. If you are going to set up a company to invest or to manage your project, we also help you with its formation and day-to-day running.
