Visas
A well-prepared visa saves months of waiting and frustration. We tell you which one you need and review your documents before you go to the consulate.
What it involves
A visa is the permit granted by a Spanish consulate to enter Spain for a specific purpose. There are short-stay visas, for tourism or visits, and national visas linked to residence: work, study, family reunification, non-lucrative residence or remote work, among others. Each has its own documents and its own procedure.
Is this your case?
- You want to invite your parents to visit you in Spain and they need a tourist visa.
- A Spanish company has hired you and you have to apply for the work visa in your country.
- Your family has already been granted reunification and now has to apply for the visa.
- The consulate has refused your visa and you don't really understand why.
How we help
We tell you which visa you need according to the purpose of your trip and prepare a clear list of documents for you, with their legalisations and translations. We review the file before the appointment to avoid refusals for formal errors and, if there is a refusal, we study an appeal. If the visa depends on a prior permit in Spain, we process it here. We can help you in Spanish, Arabic, Tamazight, French and English, at our offices in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Málaga and Barcelona or online, wherever you are in Spain.
If it has already been refused, we prepare the appeal against the refusal; and to bring your loved ones over, we help you with family reunification.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a tourist visa and a residence visa?
- A tourist or short-stay visa allows temporary visits and does not give the right to live or work in Spain. A residence visa is linked to a specific purpose, such as work, study or family.
- What do I do if my visa has been refused?
- Read the reasons carefully and don't apply again without fixing the problem. We assess whether it is better to appeal or to submit a new application, and the deadline to appeal is short.
- Can I enter as a tourist and apply for my papers from Spain?
- It depends on the procedure. Some permits can be applied for while you are legally in Spain and others require a visa from your country. Before you travel, we review your case so you don't waste time.
